The neighbourhood
The Olive Tree House is situated in a lively residential area in Liapades, the oldest village in the Paleokastritsa area, and is within walking distance of local points of interest.
The neighbourhood has two old buildings and a traditional recreation area. To the East of the house, one can enjoy panoramic views of the valley; and to the West, is a public school, renowned as Corfu’s most impressive building. From the house, you can see an old traditional playground and the Orthodox Church of Saint Thekla, built in a basilica architectural style.
The greater area
In Liapades village and the greater Paleokastritsa area you will find traditional architecture of the Ionian Islands, shops and services, breath-taking beaches and sea caves, and of course the Greek hospitality.

From early May till mid-June the weather in Corfu is pleasantly warm with temperatures ranging from 15C (59 F) to 20C (68 F). During the summer months the temperature reaches 31C (87.8 F).
